About The Farm

This family farm was started 2 generations ago by O. C. Doe and his sons, Whit and Bill, as Hawbuck Orchards.  They farmed for several decades under that name.  It was briefly out of the family, returning to the Doe’s in 1978.  The 60 acres was originally all orchard.  We have branched out to other fruit and tree crops over the years.

Pick Your Own apples started here in the 1960’s and continues today.  PYO blueberries & raspberries are the summer crops along with a fine selection of peaches, picked for you, and for sale at the stand.  The season is finished with Cut Your Own Christmas trees in Nov. and Dec.

You will also find our pumpkins and gourds, as well as honey, cider (and sometimes, maple syrup), all local.  The maple syrup is made from sap collected in town and boiled to syrup by Harvard Maple Syrup Producers
